Llantwit is spelt as you did it. It is from the Welsh Llanilltyd - Llan being the area around a church, and St Illtyd being the 4th century monk who founded a university here - to which St david, amongst many, came to study. You get lots of llan somethings in Wales. We are looking forward to the eating and drinking very much, thanks!
